The place for young aspiring actors
The youth theatre focused on actor training
We believe the arts make a town richer, and we want the young people of Rugby to get in on the act. In the Round Theatre is a youth theatre providing weekly actor workshops for young aspiring actors.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
In the Round Theatre in collaboration with Rugby Theatre
Marley was dead to begin with… This must be distinctly understood, or nothing wonderful can come of the story we are going to relate…
Join us this Christmas as we celebrate Rugby Theatre's 75th Anniversary year with a bold new adaption of Charles Dickens' classic - A Christmas Carol.
This dark and magical tale of redemption promises to be a festive feast that you will not want to miss! Ghostly effects, glorious costumes, original music and a host of traditional Christmas Carols – all performed with a live band!
So warm your hearts this December with the ultimate, classic ghost story….guaranteed to remind us all of the true meaning of Christmas.
Join us for a free taster session
Every participant is invited to a free taster session. This gives you a chance to try us out and us a chance to see if you have what we are looking for. Previous experience is not necessary as we are more interested in those that have the right attitude. After the taster session, if you are offered a place, we will ask you to pay the term’s fees to secure your place.
"Their energy is infectious."
“Working with the young actors of In the Round Theatre was a delight. They are an energetic, imaginative company who are willing to try anything. Big and bold and funny comes naturally to many of them but I found they were also able to take on some new ideas about acting and to work with truth and subtlety. Their energy is infectious.
The group is led by Rob and Darren who are inspirational with their dynamism and passion for their work. There is huge potential in the group and the possibility of building a really interesting company who could contribute significantly to theatre life in Rugby.
This is group’s first year and I look forward to seeing them again. There could be some stars in the making!”

ORCHESTRA
Macready Theatre, Rugby,
Thursday 11th April, 2024, 6.30 and 8.15pm
A group of young people meet in a smelly church hall to rehearse in half term. They are the National Youth Wind Orchestra and they are rehearsing for the performance of their lives. A euphoric roller-coaster ride of joy, Orchestra looks the cost of success and if striving for artistic excellence and wanting to always be the best, is worth the cost of losing your passion.
This new play, by Charlie Josephine is commission by the National Theatre as part of their NTConnections program.
